Mac Mic Group’s priority is to understand what local people need from a new neighbourhood, ensuring its proposals deliver maximum benefit to the community in terms of new homes and facilities, while demonstrating best practice in placemaking and sustainable development.

Key drivers for the company’s placemaking strategy, in relation to the benefits new development can bring to the lifestyle of future residents, include wellbeing, protecting wildlife, access to nature and connectivity to existing amenities and beyond.

The green infrastructure at its Withies Green scheme, Keynsham in Somerset received a Building with Nature Design Award.

Social Impact

Entwined with its ESG policy and pledging a minimum donation of 2% of net annual profit, Mac Mic Foundation supports causes and projects that will have a long-lasting impact on local communities – such as funding towards environmental projects, sports-play infrastructure, new cycle paths or equipment for schools. Demonstrating its commitment to addressing immediate needs, the Foundation also donated over £15,000 in the past year to charities tackling homelessness and the cost-of-living crisis across the UK. This highlights Mac Mic Group’s dedication to making a difference, both for the present and the future.
