August 1, 2025 – A new eye-catcher has opened between the two ski slopes of De Wijchense Berg: the Modi Blitz, a 110-meter-long tubing slide that is presented on site as the Mega TubeSlide. The attraction was developed by the Dutch company Swedice and is part of the modular Modislide product line. The Modi Blitz offers more than twenty seconds of pure sliding fun for the whole family. Riders descend twelve meters in a snowtube, coming to a stop via a near-vertical final drop of four meters. 

Not the mountain determined the shape of the slide, but the other way around. The Modi Blitz is built on a wooden substructure that stands freely above the ground. As a result, the design wasn’t bound to the slope, allowing room to play with shape, speed and experience. That’s exactly what sets this attraction apart, and exactly what Modislide stands for: modular tubing slides that are not dependent on natural inclines. 

With the arrival of the Modi Blitz, De Wijchense Berg takes another step toward year-round recreation. The tubing slide makes use of the space between two existing slopes, without taking away ski surface. That means extra action on the hill, even outside the winter season.
